Scandinavian Redwood (Pinus sylvestris) is a member of the Pine family and comes under the European softwood classification.

The unsorted grade (joinery quality) we keep, is better than other grades available and generally speaking it has fewer knots and defects.

The species is used extensively throughout the building industry and for high class joinery and furniture work.

Scandinavian Whitewood (Picea abies) is a member of the Spruce family and comes under the European softwood classification.

It is of lesser quality than Redwood (Pine) and therefore used for different applications where joinery quality is not a priority (structural/frame work, general building work etc.).

We offer the species in many different forms including preservative treated and untreated regularised carcassing, sawn (set width) boards, laminated & sanded boards and T+G (tongue and groove) boards.
